From its beginnings in 1979, CVI Melles Griot Laser Group established itself as a premier manufacturer of laser-based light sources. The Laser Group manufactures three basic types of lasers: gas lasers (helium neon, helium cadmium and ion lasers), diodepumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers and semiconductor diode laser assemblies with output ranging from the ultraviolet to the near infrared.
