International Conference on Laser Processes and Components LPC 2011 Shanghai – Exceptional Program Now Available

The International Conference on Laser Processes and Components will be held for the sixth time from March 15-16, 2011 in conjunction with the exhibition Laser – World of Photonics China, Shanghai.

The conference program includes 6 sessions covering recent developments in high power laser applications and micro machining. Speakers from different sectors like the automotive industry (e.g. General Motors Shanghai), steel industry (Bao Steel Research Center) and all important laser manufacturers (Coherent, Edgewave, GSI Group, IPG, Laserline, m2k, rofin, Spectra Physics, Trumpf) will highlight the latest developments in their research departments. Scientifically, national and international researchers will provide new results in all different fields of laser processing and laser systems. The opening presentation will be given by Prof. YF LU, University of Nebraska, US providing an overview about the opportunities of laser machining in carbon based micro and nanostructures.

The conference will be chaired by Prof. Ostendorf (Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany), Prof. Wang (President Laser Processing Committee of the Chinese Optical Society), and Prof. Zhong (Tsinghua University). It will be organized by MMI Messe München International, The Laser Processing Committee of the Chinese Optical Society and Laser Institute of America.

Stop by and visit the LIA booth (Hall E4, booth #4712) during Laser – World of Photonics China 2011.
